According to Spaceweather.com, a ‘canyon of fire’ created by erupting plasma “stretched for more than 300,000 km (186,411 miles).” NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory watched the superheated fireworks on Nov. 15th, 2015 as a coronal mass ejection spewed charged particles outward.
