Photographer Tony Corso snapped this image of a Perseid meteor streaking over the Red River just north of Paris, Texas while observing on the night of Aug. 10, 2016, one day ahead of the Perseid meteor shower’s peak for the year. “Sat outside for about two hours and saw probably 12-18,” Corso told Space.com via email.
